Jantikalu (An Andhra chakli)

Instructions :

  • Tie the rice flour in a cloth and steam it in a steamer for five minutes.

  • Remove and mix with the roasted besan and other ingredients.

  • Add water and knead to a soft dough.

  • Take small quantities of the dough and put it into a chakli or muruku mould and press into hot oil.

  • Fry each to a golden colour.


Serves : 15-20


Ingredients :

  • Rice flour 200 g

  • Besan 100g
  • Roasted 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Fresh butter 50 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Til seeds 5 tsp

  • Hing 1/2 tsp

  • Oil for deep frying
