Detox smoothies are a great way to support a healthier lifestyle. These smoothies are loaded with essential nutrients that can assist your body’s natural detox process, and the best thing is you can have them any time of day.

Melissa, a nutritionist from FoodQueries has shared 6 detox smoothies that are both, nutritious and delicious.

6. Chocolate Detox Smoothie:

This smoothie is a healthy twist on a chocolate milkshake. Almond butter provides healthy fats and protein, while cocoa powder is rich in antioxidants. The honey adds a touch of sweetness without adding refined sugar.

When to take a smoothie:

Generally, the smoothie is beneficial to be taken at any time of the day according to your preferences, for example, as a midday or post-workout snack. In the morning, when your body is in a fasting mode after night’s sleep, the smoothie will help kick-start healthy digestion. As the last meal of the day, take a few hours before you go to bed, it will provide a good source of gut-friendly substance to finish the digestion cycle.
