Namita Nayyar:
You walk many red carpets. Is there a specific “uniform” or style rule you follow to ensure you feel confident and authentic, or do you like to experiment with your look depending on the event?
Alice Connors:
I’m always open to collaborating with new brands and styles. Red carpet events are always high-profile and prestigious, so I approach them very differently to any other appearance. Although I can wear any of my own pre-pressed styles, I usually choose bespoke, elegant evening gowns paired with long gloves because they create a timeless, statement look that I love.
One of my favourite beauty tips is using special body glow oil that gives my skin a beautiful sparkle, a subtle tint, and a luxurious fragrance. It photographs incredibly well under the lights and really enhances my overall look on camera.
Before every show or red carpet event, I always make sure I complete a full skincare routine to create the perfect glowing base for my makeup. Healthy, radiant skin is so important to me, and I believe great makeup always starts with great skincare. If I had to choose one favourite skincare product, it would definitely be vitamin C. It helps brighten my complexion, gives my skin a natural glow, and leaves it looking fresh and luminous.
Whenever I know I’m attending a red carpet event, I allow myself at least twice the usual amount of time to prepare. The atmosphere is intense, and I know there will be a huge number of photographers capturing thousands of images throughout the event. Because of that, every detail has to be perfect—from my hair and makeup to my dress, accessories, and overall presentation. There is definitely a lot of pressure, but I enjoy the process because I know how important those moments are.
I also make a point of showing respect and appreciation to the photographers. Over time, I’ve built genuine friendships with many of them, and seeing familiar faces on the red carpet always helps me feel more relaxed and confident. That mutual respect creates a positive atmosphere, and they know how to capture my best angles and strongest photographs, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I always do try to thank and acknowledge the work everyone puts in at the shows.

You live between a private home life and a celebrity lifestyle. What does a typical “day off” look like for you when the cameras are off?
Alice Connors:
When the cameras are off, I cherish the complete opposite of the red carpet. My world becomes one of peace, privacy, and stillness. I love escaping into nature, whether that’s walking through the countryside or spending time beside a quiet lake. Those moments allow me to disconnect from the intensity of show life, reset my mind, and reconnect with myself. They remind me that the greatest luxury is often simplicity.
Looking after my wellbeing is a non-negotiable part of my lifestyle. I stay disciplined with my fitness, spending time in the gym, swimming laps in the pool, and finishing my workouts in the steam room,
where I meditate. It’s a ritual that strengthens both my body and my mindset. Afterwards, I always enjoy clean, nourishing food that leaves me feeling energised and ready for whatever comes next.
As the evening arrives, I step into a completely different world. I attend professional dance classes in central London, training with instructors who have worked with dancers from Strictly Come Dancing and major stage productions. Although I do it purely for the love of dance, I treat every class with dedication. Dance is one of my greatest passions—it allows me to express emotion without words, refine my performance skills, and continue evolving as both an artist and a person.
For me, true glamour isn’t just about what people see on the red carpet. It’s about the discipline behind the scenes, the balance between elegance and authenticity, and creating a life that feels just as fulfilling away from the spotlight as it does in front of it.

You have a connection with Women Fitness and Women Fitness International Magazine. Why is it important for you to specifically align with these platforms rather than general lifestyle publications?
Alice Connors:
The reason I choose to align with Women Fitness and Women Fitness International Magazine, rather than a general lifestyle publication, is because I believe there is no greater investment you can make than investing in your health.
Health and fitness are the foundation of a vibrant and meaningful life. When you take care of your body, you become stronger for your work, more present for the people you love, and better equipped to embrace every opportunity life brings. Looking after yourself isn’t just about living longer—it’s about living with more energy, confidence, purpose, and joy every single day.
That’s why Women Fitness and Women Fitness International Magazine resonate so deeply with me. They champion something far greater than fitness alone—they inspire people to build healthier habits, stronger minds, and more resilient lives. They encourage individuals to become the very best version of themselves through movement, discipline, education, and self-care.
Exercise is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. It strengthens your body, sharpens your mind, boosts your confidence, increases your energy, and helps you stay active, capable, and independent throughout every stage of life. It allows you to keep doing what you love, pursue your dreams with strength, and continue living life to its fullest potential.
Movement also has the power to transform your mindset. It lifts your spirit, relieves stress, builds resilience, and creates a positive outlook that carries into every area of your life. Every workout is a promise you make to yourself—a reminder that you are worth investing in.
That is why I proudly align with Women Fitness and Women Fitness International Magazine. Their mission is about empowering people to live healthier, stronger, happier lives. It isn’t simply about fitness—it’s about creating a future where people thrive, inspire others, and realize that their greatest asset has always been their health.
Because when you build a strong body, you build a stronger life. And when you become the healthiest version of yourself, you gain the strength, energy, and confidence to pursue your purpose and make the most of every opportunity life has to offer.
Namita Nayyar:
In your opinion, how does the media representation of women in fitness need to evolve? What message do you hope young women take away from seeing your journey on Women Fitness International?
Alice Connors:
I believe the media needs to place a much greater emphasis on fitness, not simply as a means of improving appearance, but as one of the most powerful investments we can make in our health, happiness, and longevity. Fitness has the remarkable ability to enhance both our physical and mental wellbeing, increase our quality of life, and empower us to live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. The conversation should move beyond aesthetics and instead celebrate the lifelong benefits that movement and exercise bring to people of all ages and backgrounds.
My hope is that more people feel proud of their bodies, regardless of their shape or size, while recognising the incredible importance of fitness for both their physical and mental wellbeing. Fitness should never be driven by insecurity or the pressure to meet society’s expectations. Instead, it should come from a place of self-respect, self-care, and a genuine desire to become stronger, healthier, and happier.
The message I hope people take away from my journey on Women Fitness International is to never underestimate the power of small steps. Sometimes, focusing on the next step in front of you is far more important than worrying about the entire staircase.
Lasting transformation doesn’t happen overnight—it is built through consistency, patience, and the small choices you make every single day. There will be moments when your progress isn’t immediately visible, and that’s perfectly normal. The most meaningful transformations often happen gradually, revealing themselves over time through persistence and dedication.
Believe in yourself, trust the process, and have patience with your journey. Confidence doesn’t come from fitting a particular standard—it comes from recognising how far you’ve come and believing in how far you’re capable of going.
Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small, honour your body for everything it does for you, and never allow comparison to diminish your self-worth. When you approach fitness with a positive mindset and genuine self-compassion, it becomes far more than exercise—it becomes a lifelong investment in your health, your confidence, and your future.
No matter your age, background, gender, or starting point, your journey is uniquely your own. The goal is never to become someone else—it is to become the strongest, healthiest, and happiest version of yourself.
Be proud of how far you have come.
