Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with exceptionally talented fitness expert Ashley Wilke to talk about her fitness routine, diet, skin care, hair care and her incredible success story.
Where you were born? Tell us about your early education and professional training if any. You later got certified in plant-based nutrition through Cornell University. This propelled your fitness and diet coaching career to the height where you have been a leading Vegan Fitness Coach. Tell us more about your journey of hard work, tenacity, and endurance?
I was born and raised in a small town in Illinois and moved to California in my 20’s. I now live in Arizona with my husband and our rescued fur-babies. Along with my certification in plant-based nutrition, I also have my degrees in digital media marketing and broadcast journalism.
You have appeared as an exceptionally stunning fitness model for the Celsius Energy Drink. Elaborate more about this amazing and inspiring modeling assignment?
Thank you! I’m very blessed to have worked with some amazing brands over the years, Celsius being one of them who I am currently an athlete for. They are a certified vegan friendly (and cruelty-free) energy drink which aligns perfectly with my core values.
I have a wonderful team behind me that I work with as a fitness model and influencer!
You are a leading media personality, model, influencer, Vegan Fitness Coach, and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
I’ve found that it’s super important to plan and block out my days accordingly! Things are super busy right now, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I also want to stress the importance of having a day off to spend with family (Hi, Mom) and loved ones!
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
I love weight training, Pilates and the stair master! I weight train 4-5/ days a week and have an active rest day once per week where I get outdoors and hike!
Do you take a special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
I hate the word “diet.” Someone once said that the word “die is in it” and that always stuck with me! I don’t believe in diets because they only focus on the short term.
I live a vegan lifestyle, which means I do not eat anything that comes from a living being. I keep a general idea of my calories/macros to make sure I’m within a healthy range of my personal goals.
