A Guide To Buying A Portable Vaporizer

June 18, 2018 By Namita Nayyar (Editor in chief)

Portable Vaporizer

The health benefits a portable vaporizer can offer you in comparison to smoking is well known, like many others however, when you want to buy a portable vaporizer, you could be hesitant when you notice the number of options available.  If you are new the portable vaporizers, you need to know what you should be looking for.  When you understand this, you will not waste any money on features that you do not actually need.

The Type Of Heating

There are 2 different heating methods that are used in portable vaporizers.  Convection heating is considered the best option, particularly if you are looking at a portable dry herb vaporizer.  This type of heating will involve the heating element warming the air which is then passed through the chamber where the herbs or liquid will be held.  This means that there is no direct contact between the heating element and the herb or liquid which reduces the chances of burning.

The other method of heating will be conduction which involves the transfer of heat from one object directly to the other.  This is done through direct contact as the heating element will touch the herbs or be suspended in the vaporizer liquid.  This is not considered the best heating system because of the potential for burning and the wasted heat that comes with this method.

The Type Of Battery

When it comes to batteries, you can get either internal or external rechargeable batteries.  There are some portable vaporizers that work on butane, but if you are new to these devices you should choose a battery operated one.  The type of battery that you get will be done to your situation and what you are comfortable with.

External batteries are ideal for people who want to be able to use their vaporizer for longer periods of time.  This is due to the fact that these batteries hold a greater charge than the internal ones.  This does not mean that you should not look at internal battery option at all.

Internal batteries generally offer multiple charging options.  This will include battery packs and car chargers along with USB chargers.  When looking at batteries, you have to consider the charge time as well as the average battery life as this will help you choose the best one.

The Discretion

When you look at portable vaporizers, you will notice that there are a lot of different styles available. The most popular vaporizers are usually those which offer you more discretion than others and you might want to consider this.  There are a lot of people who do not want other people to know about their vaporizer and if you are one of these people you have to get the right model.

Portable Vaporizer

Pen vaporizers are the ones that you will want to look for.  These models can be made to look like an actual pen.  You can also get other models that look like other devices which make them more discrete.  This is something you should consider when using dry herbs in your portable vaporizer.

There are a number of points that you have to consider when looking at portable vaporizers.  You need to consider the heating system as well as the battery that is being used.
