At the age of 16 you moved to Damascus to earn your BA in English literature, it was there that the well known Arab director Najdat Anzoor discovered your talent in AL Kawasir (TV series ) in a leading role (Hadeel), and from then on you began your career in acting and became on of the most well known stars in the Arab world. Walk us through this incredible journey and tell us how it all began?
It all began when a well-known director ”that any actor would dream to work with” happened to be very close friends with my dad and insisted to have me in a role in his latest series “AL KAWASER”.
My parents were against me entering this field, my mom being a famous actress and my dad was a very well known DOP. They always thought that it’s a hectic and tiring career especially because I was still at an important age where I had to finish my studies.
This opportunity was like a dream come true for me as I secretly desired it so I found my ways for convincing them. And I did !! But also I kept my promise by getting my BA in English literature and made my dream come true.
And since that HIT series I got a lot of great roles onwards and my life changed ever since. I played numerous Tragedy, Historical and Comedy roles and definitely found myself in the light comedic ones…
When I look back I find nothing to regret and only a few to correct. But each role has made me better, wiser and taught me and touched me in a positive way.
