Its brilliant blue flowers are the distinctive feature of the woodland and pasture plants. It grows to a height of almost two feet and both leaves and stem are covered with whitish bristles. Borage has a beneficial effect on the heart, kidneys, adrenal glands and the entire digestive system. It is famous as a curer of jaundice.
