Joanna Littlewood-Johnson: Australian Pole Champion 2013 Reveals Her Workout & Diet

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

How did you feel before and after being a Grand Finalist (Top 10) in World Pole Sports Championships London 2012?

Ms. Joanna Littlewood-Johnson:

Again a last minute decision. After coming 2nd in the Australian Pole Fitness Championships I found out I was eligible to compete in London and accepted the invitation with 5 weeks to find royalty free music, raise money and put together a costume and show.

Amazingly I did, and I made it to London, made some incredible new friends from around the world and couldn’t believe it when, after the preliminary round I made the top 10 and was through to the grand final. Being my first time on the international stage and, I think, the oldest in the competition, this was something I had never expected. Such a memorable experience and I’m so glad I went.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us about the activities of your endeavor at “Core Fusion Pole Studio”?

Ms. Joanna Littlewood-Johnson:

After running my Pilates studio out of my home and the local hall for 10 years I decided it was time to get a ‘proper’ studio and while i was at it ,to add a pole studio. I wanted to share my love of pole and offer a place where anyone would be welcome and not be intimidated.

Core fusion Pole Studio is still a baby really, but we have classes running 6 days a week from beginners to advanced and, on top of making sure everyone has fun, gains confidence, gets excited when they achieve new moves and start to notice changes in their bodies, my main focus is to teach good technique so they pole with strength and control and are less likely to injure themselves.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Who has been your greatest influencer and motivator in your success in the field of your career in competitive pole dancing ?

Ms. Joanna Littlewood-Johnson:

I have trained by myself for the most part so have had to stay very motivated and focussed, but my family area a huge motivation for me. I know that I am setting a good example for my kids by working towards and achieving goals and that they and my husband and parents are very proud of me.
