Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up Marina Mamalat an exceptionally talented, international model as she highlights her unique journey of blend with modeling, business and wellness.
Namita Nayyar:
You began your modeling career at 15. Looking back, what was the biggest challenge you faced as a young model entering the international fashion scene in China and Europe?
Marina Mamalat:
The biggest challenge was learning confidence far from home. At 15, you are still discovering yourself, and suddenly you are placed in highly competitive, unfamiliar environments. Different languages, cultures, expectations — it teaches maturity very quickly. I learned to stay grounded, disciplined, and trust my intuition.
Namita Nayyar:
What moment in your 15-year career are you most proud of and why?
Marina Mamalat:
I am proud not of one single moment, but of longevity. Fifteen years in this industry means resilience, reinvention, and consistency. To still evolve, stay relevant, and continue creating after many years is something I deeply value.

Namita Nayyar:
What cultural difference between China and Europe surprised you most in fashion?
Marina Mamalat:
China impressed me with discipline, speed, and precision. Europe inspired me with artistry, individuality, and emotion. Both worlds are powerful in different ways, and I learned something valuable from each.
Namita Nayyar:
How did your work as an auditor and broker influence your mobile app development today?
Marina Mamalat:
Those experiences taught me structure, negotiation, responsibility, and strategic thinking. Modeling gave me creativity and intuition. Business gave me systems. Combining both worlds helps me build with vision and logic.
