Namita Nayyar:
What are the most common misconception people have about being a fitness model, and how do you use your platform to address it? How do you navigate societal pressures around body image while promoting authenticity to your audience?
Mina Mendes:
One of the biggest misconceptions is that being a fitness model is purely superficial—just about looks. Yes, my body is part of my job, but it’s also a reflection of discipline, balance, and self-respect. I use my platform to show the full picture: the hard work, the setbacks, and the reality behind the polished content. I think it’s important to promote strength, health, and confidence over perfection. Authenticity always connects deeper than image alone.

Namita Nayyar:
How do your diet, fitness, and skincare practices synergize to support not just your career, but your overall mental and physical well-being? What advice would you give aspiring influencers looking to build a balanced, sustainable lifestyle in this industry?
Mina Mendes:
For me, the gym is like therapy—it helps me stay grounded and clear-headed. I also do yoga regularly, which really supports my mental clarity, flexibility, and recovery. Eating well and taking care of my skin are just as important—they all work together to keep me feeling strong and confident, inside and out. My biggest advice is to focus on balance and consistency. Consistency doesn’t mean perfection—it means showing up for yourself, even on the tough days. And most importantly, don’t be too hard on yourself. Give yourself grace and keep going.
