Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Monika Radulovic: My daily diet primarily consists of lots of fresh vegetables, seafood and chicken and lots of good fats. I try to stay away from sugars (even the natural kinds as they have the same effect on insulin levels) and refined carbs. I function so much better, and just feel better generally, when I don’t eat these kinds of foods. I truly believe you are what you eat! However, if I’m really craving something sweet (anything with coconut is my favourite!), I allow myself to indulge so that I don’t feel like I’m depriving myself.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Monika Radulovic: Thank you! My mum has amazing skin, and she always taught me to stick to the basics when it comes to skin care. I make sure I cleanse my face really well every day and keep my skin hydrated and plump by drinking lots of water. But I do have one secret when it comes to glowing skin and hair; coconut oil! I eat it every single day and I also use it as a face and body moisturizer, and hair treatment. It has really made a difference to the texture and appearance of my skin, keeping it supple, soft and glowy.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: How did you feel before and after your memorable win of Miss Universe Australia 2015 and representing Australia at 64th Miss Universe Pageant where you were among the top five?
Ms. Monika Radulovic: I felt incredible! It was such a surreal feeling and I still have to pinch myself sometimes when I think about it. It was such an honour to represent my amazing country on the world stage.
