A proactive approach to improving bone health is not only the key to aging gracefully, but it is also super easy to do. Getting enough calcium rich ingredients into your diet can help create the very foundation for a healthy body.  This essential mineral keeps our bones strong and our teeth and gums healthy. 

Give these 5 easy to make, calcium rich shakes a try and get yourself fab to the bone!  

Chocolate on Chocolate Shake by Burton Nutrition

This double chocolatey shake not only feeds your bones but satisfies your sweet tooth!  It may  taste like a decadent splurge, but you can enjoy guilt-free!  

Ingredients for one serving:

  • 1   Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (You may also use regular milk, rice, or coconut milk)
  • 1   Scoop Burton Nutrition (or your favorite protein powder brand) Chocolate Whey or Plant Based Protein
  • ¼  Cup Rolled Oats (not instant)
  • 1  Tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1  Cup Ice

To Make:

  • Garnish with some shaved chocolate if desired.
  • Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until blended.

Cinnamon Roll Shake by Burton Nutrition

  • 1 Cup Low Fat Milk (You may also use almond, rice, or coconut milk)
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 6 Ice Cubes

To Make:

  • Garnish with a shake of cinnamon
  • Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until blended.

Orange juice can be an excellent, non-dairy source of calcium and this shake reminds us of an orange creamsicle!  

Ingredients for one serving:

  • 4 oz. Water (You may also use milk, almond, rice or coconut milk)
  • 4 oz. Orange Juice

To Make:

  • Garnish with an orange slice if desired
