Brianne Mclaughlin: Twice Olympic Silver Medalist Ice Hockey Reveals Workout and her Beauty Secrets

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us about your endeavour of “Goalie training facility” in Neville Island, Pennsylvania?

Ms. Brianne Mclaughlin:

Well, we do a lot of traveling and training so full time jobs for us is kind of off the table. Most of us start our own business so we can pick up and go whenever we have camps. I started my own business in Pittsburgh training goalies this summer and I love it. I was an assistant coach for Robert Morris University women’s team 2 years ago and loved coaching but really just liked hanging with the goalies anyway so this is a perfect fit for me. I get to train goalies and also pass off all the things I’ve learned and encourage kids to find their own path towards their goals.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have NCAA record of 3,809 career saves. Overall, you stopped 3,809 of the 4,188 shots you faced, resulting in a .910 save percentage. You have a spectacular record as a goalie in Ice hockey. What responsibilities does these achievements bestow upon you of giving back to the sport of ice hockey and its upcoming players?

Ms. Brianne Mclaughlin:

That just made me realize not how many shots I saved but how many I actually let in! Ha Our whole team has achieved some really amazing things and records. It’s always a priority to us to get out to as many things as we can whether it is events or through social media. We like to be seen as role models to encourage the younger crowd to be great as well. Being accessible to our fans is fun for us. We all remember being that age and meeting girls from the 1998 gold medal team and how excited we were to meet them and see their medals so it’s even more fun to be on the other side now.
