Miss Universe Canada 2009 Mariana Valente: Reveals Her Diet, Workout & Beauty Secrets

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have done bold photo shoots. How you are so body confident and advice to your compatriots?

Ms. Mariana Valente:

When you feel good about yourself that beauty translates to others. I truly enjoy doing photo shoots and I feel like its my moment to let the other side of me free. At that moment I’m not analyzing how I look and my flaws, I’m just enjoying that experience. I think that because I truly like modeling and I enjoy taking care of myself that allows me to feel comfortable to do these bold shoots, but always in a respectful way.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have been associated with specially BASE (Brazilian Association for Social and Educational Support) and a number of charities, which are all dear to your heart, tell us how you have been able to achieve and quench your thirst of giving back to the society through this endeavor of your?

Ms. Mariana Valente:

My family and I started BASE in 2007. I’m so thankful that my parents raised my brother, my sister, and I to be humble and giving. Because of my upbringing I feel like I have a duty to do something more with my life. Along the years we have organized fundraisers to build a shelter in Brazil, which we finalized in 2011.

We also raised funds during Christmas time to give 50 families in Brazil a basket with food and school supplies. I am surrounded by people that want to help as much as we do, and the only reason why we were able to achieve our goal with BASE was because of friends, and families that believed in it. I could never take all the credit for what we have done, it was truly a combined effort. I haven’t quenched my thirst though, I know that I can and will do much more!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us about your endevour of the ‘Fit Food’. And methodology used in developing personalized nutritious meal plans for your clients?

Ms. Mariana Valente:

Fit Food come about 3 years ago, when one of Mike’s (my husband) clients asked us to cook for her. She had been training with Mike for a while and felt like she wasn’t achieving the goals she wanted due to her eating habits. After a lot of thought we decided to cook for her. Fast forward 3 years later we now have our own 1500 sq/ft Fit Food kitchen, with an executive chef and nutritionist who develop healthy and delicious recipes. At fitfood.ca people can order different meal plans that cater towards they lifestyle, needs and goals.

Fit Food is always delivered fresh and we can customize any package to each client. The goal with Fit food was to have something that was convenient for clients, provided them with the tools and knowledge of healthy eating. Our balanced and satisfying meals give clients a chance to live their busy lives without having to prepare their healthy meals.

Ms. Mariana Valente:
