Ms. Namita Nayyar: How your experience as a dentist and background of being a Korean American that gave you an ‘exotic look’ has helped you in carving your present profession of being a Fitness Model and Professional Bikini competitor?
Ms. Natalie Pennington: My background of a dentist and being a Korean American has definitely helped in carving my present profession. Being mixed has helped and played to my advantage. I have an exotic look with the Asian/French mixture. My physique is European and I have long legs and an athletic physique, which is definitely from my father’s side. My siblings from my father’s side are tall and my brother and sister are world class Taek Won Do athletes. Dentistry came from my Korean mother constantly pushing me to do well in school. I definitely benefited from both cultures.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a bikini perfect physique?
Ms. Natalie Pennington: My exercise routine is put together through Bombshell Fitness by Shannon Dey. She has been my coach for several years. The exercise routines involves a combination of weight training, plyometric workouts, and cardiovascular training. I usually start the mornings with my cardio to get my day started and will later on in the day train specific body parts. Each day has different cardio and specific weight training exercises to help build a beautiful, curvy bikini physique.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?
Ms. Natalie Pennington: My diet is also part of the plan put together for me through Bombshell Fitness. It is one piece of the puzzle to my fitness goals. The diet involves a balanced combination of carbs, proteins, and fats to provide me the best workouts and the most energy throughout the day. The most common carbs I eat are oatmeal, brown rice, and sweet potatoes. The proteins are lean meats which include chicken, fish, and lean ground beef. The fats I stick to are usually from olive oil, flax oil, and avocado. Supplementation is also equally just as important to lead me to my fitness goals. My supplements strictly come from BeautyFit and include everything from protein, pre and post workouts, and vitamins.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a Fitness Model, Professional Figure and Bikini Competitor, Fitness Expert, Dentist and IFBB Bikini Pro?
Ms. Natalie Pennington: My motivation to take on a multi-faceted personality of a fitness model, professional bikini competitor, fitness expert, dentist, and IFBB bikini pro is always wanting to push myself to be the best version of myself in all areas of my life. In anything that I decide to do I refuse to accept mediocrity.
