Ingredients
- Apples - 175 gms;
- Pineapple - 175 gms;
- pears - 350 gms; sugar - 200 gms;
- onion seeds (kalonji) - 2 gms;
- aniseed (saunf) - 2 gms;
- red chillies (broken) - 2 Nos.;
- ginger julliennes - 3 gms;
- garlic flakes - 5 gms;
- almond flakes - 4 gms;
- bayleaf - 1no.;
- cloves - 3 nos;
- chilli powder - 1 gm;
- salt to taste;
- raisins - 5 gms;
- vinegar - 1 tsp.
Instructions
- Wash, peel, core and cut all the fruits into small cubes.
- Bring one litre of water to boil in a pan; add sugar and continue boiling till you get a semi thick syrup.
- Add chopped fruits and cook on a slow fire, stirring continuously till the fruits disintegrate and the mixture becomes thick.
- Add the rest of the ingredients. Cook for a few more minutes. Remove from fire.
- Cool mixture down, transfer into airtight containers and store in the fridge.
- Use as a dip for creole idlis.
