Lindsey Vonn Re-Creates History: Takes Home Bronze In Ski Racing At The Winter Games 2018

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Training for professional sports requires you to be out in the extreme weather. How are you able to take care of your skin and hair?

Ms. Lindsey Vonn:

When I ski, basically everything except my nose and cheeks are covered so I use SPF but that’s it. The real problem I find is dryness so I use lotion and oils to keep my skin and hair healthy.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Who has been your greatest influence and motivator in your success in the field of your career?

Ms. Lindsey Vonn:

I would have to say Picaboo Street. I met her when I was 19 years old and she signed a poster for me. I was awestruck. I wanted to be an Olympian just like her. Also, The Goat (Roger Federer) has inspired me throughout the years and recently helped me continue to believe that we veterans have a lot of gas left in the tank!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You are one of the six women to have won World Cup races in all five disciplines of alpine skiing – downhill, super-G, giant slalom, slalom, and super combined – and have won 77 World Cup races throughout your career to date. Tell us about one of the most memorable experience that you may have had at these Championships and Games.

Ms. Lindsey Vonn:

I love every one of the wins that got me to where I am. My favorite was probably breaking the record in Cortina with my 63rd win was a dream come true. Although, the best victories are the ones you haven’t won yet!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding ski racers who all are your fans, they shall like to know from you, what they should do for their climb to ladder of success in this field?

Ms. Lindsey Vonn:

I would want to tell them that if you’re lucky enough to have your passions and what you’re good at be the same thing then there’s nothing that can stop you. Work hard, do your best every single day and never ever give up on yourself.
