Ms. Namita Nayyar: Who has been your biggest influence and motivation in your path to success?
Ms. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce: My mother and my circumstance growing up in a single parent household had a big influence on my life. I felt that my athletic talent could take me and my family out of the poverty that I grew up experiencing and used that as a major motivation on my path to success.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have been associated as the first UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassador for Jamaica. On 23 February 2010, you were named Grace Goodwill Ambassador for Peace for 2010 in a partnership with Grace Foods and not-for-profit Organisation PALS (Peace and Love in Society).These associations has been dear to your heart, tell us how you have been able to achieve and quench your thirst of giving back to the society through these endeavors of your?
Ms. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce: Being able to give back is a gift from God. Life is not all about receiving. I needed help growing up and received assistance. It is why I formed my pocketrocketfoundation.com and participate with UNICEF and GraceKennedy to give to those in need now.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: With exceptional hard work you are credited with all your achievements. You are a committed Christian. Do you believe that does the hand of Providence (Supreme Being) played a role in your success?
Ms. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce: God blessed me in numerous ways. I believe that God gives us all a reason to perform. I give God thanks for all my successes.
