Charlize Theron prefers ballet-based exercise.

Charlize Theron is a South African actress and fashion model. She started
her acting career in the United States and rose to fame in the late 1990s
following roles in The Devil's Advocate , Mighty Joe Young, and The Cider House
Rules. Theron won the Academy Award for Best Actress, the Golden Globe Award for
Best Actress - Motion Picture Drama,
the Silver Bear and many other awards for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen
Wuornos in Monster , becoming the first South African to win an Academy Award in
a major acting
category.
She received further Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for her
performance in North Country in 2005, and a Golden Globe nomination for her
performance in Young
Adult in 2011. In 2012 she appeared in Snow White & the Huntsman and Prometheus.
Theron became a US citizen in 2007, while retaining her South African
citizenship.
Charlize Theron is growing back her hair in style. The actress shaved off her
famous blonde tresses for her role as a skinhead in Mad Max: Fury Road, and
although Charlize has the perfect face to compliment a short 'do she's eager to
grow back.
Charlize showed off her tousled reddish brown pixie hairstyle as she headed to a
dance studio in West Hollywood on Friday, looking sexy in a clingy low-cut blue
T-shirt and grey
leggings.
To avoid the chill she also slipped on a thin blue cardigan, as well as a pair
of earthy blue flats, and a large black and tan Givenchy handbag was a chic
addition to her casual ensemble.
Charlize - who is said to have stocked up on hair products in order to grow her
hair faster - even looked like she had spritzed her locks.
The 37-year-old star must have had a great workout, for she was pink-cheeked and
glowing with perspiration that clung to her clothes.
Charlize is enjoying a break between films but is intent on keeping herself in
great shape, and on Thursday was seen heading to the same studio as well where
she enjoys ballet-based exercise.
The South Africa-born actress, who became a mother when she adopted son Jackson
in March 2012, has juggled motherhood and career with ease, and even took her
youngster to Africa to film Mad Max: Fury Road.
Speaking on The Today Show last year, the 5ft 10in beauty revealed: 'I love it!
I’ve got to tell you, I’m available for other babies' diapers to be changed. I
can do it in my sleep now. I am so good.
'I now know how to change a Japanese diaper, a Spanish diaper, an English
diaper, a German diaper. I’m like the diaper pro now.’
She added: 'The one thing I’m grateful beyond anything else is that she [Charlize's
mother Gerda] raised me to always encourage me to be my own person… and that
teaches great independence.'
The Snow White and the Huntsman actress is reportedly in discussions with Ted
director Seth MacFarlane to star in his new feature, a western comedy inspired
by the classic Blazing Saddles.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed the actress was in final negotiations to star
opposite Seth MacFarlane in A Million Ways to Die In The West. As well as
directing and writing the film, Seth will play a timid farmer whose wife leaves
after he refuses to take part in a gunfight. It is thought Charlize will play
the role of a notorious outlaw's wife. The outlaw teaches the farmer how to
shoot but then he fall's for his terrifying mentor's wife. Production of the
film is scheduled to begin in May.
In 2011, she described her process for becoming the characters in her film:
When I'm figuring out a character, for me it's easy, since once I say yes to
something, I become super-obsessed about it – and I have an obsessive nature in
general. How I want to play it starts at that moment. It's a very lonely,
internal experience. I think about the character all the time – I observe
things, I see things and file things in my head, everything geared to what I'm
going to do. I'm obsessed with the human condition. You read the script and
become obsessed with a character's nature, her habits. When the camera rolls,
it's time to do my job, to do the honest truth. You can't do that part of the
character-creation work when you're in the middle of making the film. At least I
can't.
