Twenty people are under observation in France for possible infection from the
swine flu virus after visiting Mexico and the southern United States, French
health authorities said on Tuesday.
A total of 107 people who have returned from the Americas since April 25 have
reported flu-like symptoms, the head of the health watchdog INVS, Francoise
Weber, told a press conference.
But only 20 of those remain under observation, suffering from "non-serious flu
symptoms" of illness. The others have been given the all-clear by doctors.
Health officials have gone on international alert after Mexican authorities said
an outbreak of swine flu was thought to have killed more than 150 people.
