MEN need not worry about their talents in the bedroom - it's the art of stimulating conversation they need to master, according to a new survey.

It found women rated great conversation above great sex.

Seven out of 10 women said they preferred a little more conversation, a little less action, in the Australian Women's Health magazine survey of 1000 females.

"Women just want good solid conversation and the sex comes afterwards," Australian Women's Health editor Felicity Percival said.

Percival said women today were sexually liberated, but had passed the Sex and the City mentality and were now less likely to jump in bed with a stranger.

"Women are saying 'I want to get to know this guy before I have sex with him'," she said.

However once the talk is done, the survey showed women still wanted some serious sexual attention from their partner.

One in four women said they wanted more sex while 22 per cent said they wanted sex every day.

But men please note: 29 per cent want more foreplay and 26 per cent want more orgasms.
 

"Women know the things that are going to make them tick in bed and they are demanding them," Percival said.

Women also offered some tips on what makes a dream guy, with 51 per cent saying strong arms was the body feature they checked out first.

This was followed by a broad back (22 per cent), rock hard abs (13 per cent) and a tight bum (7 per cent).
